The surgery up until recently was perfect, but within the last year it has gone down hill, struggle to get appointments , phone lines are always busy and by the time you get through the appointments have gone, . Requests come in late or not at all. Having said that most of the staff are lovely, and doctors , all but a couple are great and warm, approachable people. I put all the bad changes down to the cut in funding.
The surgey is hard to get an appointment and the rejectionists are disrespectful and unhelpful.
I have always found all staff Doctor`s, Nurses and Receptionists work to a very high standard, nothing is to much trouble for them. A very professional run Health Centre.
I called the surgery as soon as they opened to book an appointment. It took me 17 minutes and 83 calls to get through. Even with a booked appointment I still had to wait 40 minutes before seeing the dr. The Drs are very good but the appointment system is dreadful.
No wonder the hospital's are full to the brim and bursting, its because it takes 27 phone calls to get through after calling from 8 am finally got through at 8.27 am then on the phone for 8 min and 23 seconds because stuck in a queue. Had a appointment for 12.30 pm and wasn't seen by the doctor till 1.08 pm so no would not recommended unless you have a full day off work etc. Also why do you need to see a marriage certificate to just change your surname when at Hospitals, Banks, Job Centre's etc can just change it on the computers.
